Phoenix signs cooperation deals with university and publishers in UK
A delegation headed by She Jiangtao, vice-president of Phoenix Publishing and Media Inc, conducted a slate of business meetings with publishers and universities during its visit to the United Kingdom from July 17 to 22.
At the University of Birmingham, the delegation and university officials reached cooperation intentions in publishing academic works on science, history, literature, art and Shakespearean research.
As a top and prestigious higher education institute in the UK, the university boasts the world-famous Shakespeare research institute and is a world leader in medicine, astrophysics, English literature, drama and history.
Both sides also reached consensus in jointly exploring global writer resources and publishing the latest research findings.
The delegation visited Oxford University Press, which has cooperated with Yilin Press for a long time. They also met Julia Lovell, a scholar, writer and translator of Chinese texts, in Cambridge and the historian Andrew Roberts in London.
