A Tango Featuring Science and Beauty — Cultural Salon: Botanical Art and Walking along the Path to Eternal Fragrance

Venue: No W1.C02 booth for Phoenix Publishing and Media at the China International Exhibition Center (New Venue) in Beijing

We will invite three guests to deliver speeches, including Zeng Xiaolian, senior engineer at the Chinese Academy of Sciences' Kunming Institute of Botany, Li Aili, professional botanical illustrator at the CAS Institute of Botany, and Liu Huajie, professor of the Philosophy Department of Peking University.

Li Aili will give a speech on her 18 years of being a professional botanical illustrator. Liu Huajie will talk about the relationship between botanical illustrations and ecological aesthetics.

We will also invite four experts to attend the meet-and-great session. The cultural salon will feature an exhibition of botanical illustrations and derivative art pieces, and discussions about publishing and cooperation affairs.

The guests will be Zhang Guohong, head of the Fairylake Botanical Garden of the CAS Institute in Shenzhen, Zhao Shiwei, chief engineer of the Beijing Institute of Landscape Architecture, Gu Yourong, doctor of botany at the Institute of Botany of the CAS South China Botanical Garden, and Yu Tianyi, winner of the silver prize at the Botanical Illustrations Exhibition at the XIX International Botanical Congress.
