Phoenix International Publications Inc (PIP) is the fifth largest children's book publisher in North America.

Phoenix Publishing & Media Inc confirmed an 80-million-dollar acquisition of the US children's books giant Publications International Ltd in July 2014 and created the brand new Phoenix International Publications Inc (PIP). PIP is headquartered in Chicago and has offices in New York, London, Paris, Hamburg, Mexico City and Sydney. Being the fifth largest children's book publisher in North America, PIP has average sales of 18 million books per year.

On Jan 30, PIP launched its emergency response system shortly after the World Health Organization announced the COVID-19 outbreak had become a public health emergency of international concern and the first person-to-person infection was confirmed in the United States.

After healthcare screenings of staff members, PIP postponed all business travel to minimize the possibility of cross-infection. In addition to purchasing medical supplies in advance, the company also encouraged employees to wash their hands regularly, wear masks and open windows in workplaces. Official notices and posters created by mainstream media and the US Center for Disease Control and Prevention were put up on billboards and restrooms for employees to get the latest updates.

Meanwhile, the company talked with its partners in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Taiwan about temporary supply schemes during the epidemic and discussed with dealers and bookstores a flexible sales plans to minimize losses.
