Phoenix Literature and Art Publishing, a subsidiary of Phoenix Publishing and Media Group (PPMG), in collaboration with Egypt's Gulab Publishing House, hosted the "International Youth Read Literary Works: China-Egypt Season" event in Cairo on Sept 14.
This was part of the celebrations on the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Egypt.
Supported by the China Writers Association, the event garnered significant attention from the cultural, educational and media sectors in both countries. Chinese and Egyptian writers, translators, publishers, and student representatives gathered for a cross-cultural literary celebration centered around poetry.

Poet He Xiangyang shared her creative journey through a video message. In the subsequent poetry reading session, Chinese writers and publishers collaborated with an Egyptian youth and translator to deliver a bilingual reading of the poetry, alternating between Chinese and Arabic, elevating the event to a climax.
This event is part of the "International Youth Read Literary Works" series hosted by Phoenix Literature and Art Publishing. The series has so far been held in Kazakhstan, Thailand, France, Cambodia, and Italy.
Looking ahead, Phoenix Literature and Art Publishing plans to continue engaging young readers worldwide.
