Book donation ceremony takes place at the Jiangsu Book House in Uzbekistan on Sept 18.

Phoenix Publishing and Media Group (PPMG) joined the Jiangsu provincial government delegation in visiting Uzbekistan from Sept 15 to 18 to enhance practical cooperation across various fields.

On Sept 16, the Jiangsu-Uzbekistan Vocational Education Exchange Conference and the opening ceremony for the "Chinese language plus vocational skills" training program were held in Tashkent, the Uzbek capital. PPMG donated bilingual textbooks for the training program as part of its efforts to support Jiangsu's vocational education philosophy of integrating teaching with industrial needs.

Later in the afternoon, representatives from PPMG's digital media, printing, and vocational education divisions visited a local industrial park. During discussions, Phoenix Xinhua Distribution Group and Uzbek company Centris reached an agreement to print Uzbekistan's ninth-grade mathematics textbooks in seven languages, amounting to over 700,000 copies.

On Sept 17, PPMG representatives visited Samarkand State University, one of Uzbekistan's oldest and most prestigious institutions, renowned for its expertise in Central Asian studies and language and literature. They toured the university's Central Asian Language and Culture Research Institute and its Confucius Institute, initiating discussions on publishing collaborations and cultural exchanges.

The visit concluded on Sept 18 with the Jiangsu delegation visiting the Zheng He Academy and Jiangsu Book House in Uzbekistan. PPMG reported on the progress of the Jiangsu Book House project, including book distribution, publishing works of vocational education, and the development of digital resources and textbooks.
