Chen Haiyan, chairman of Phoenix Publishing and Media Group (PPMG), was invited to the 9th Confucius Institute Conference in Xiamen, on December 7th, 2014. PPM is the first cultural enterprise involved in building Confucius institutes.

This time, the conference’s theme was “Celebrating the tenth anniversary of the Confucius Institute”. Around 2,000 people, including university presidents and directors of Confucius institutes [CP2] from over 120 countries, attended the conference.

The Confucius Institute in Pace University (USA), co-founded by Phoenix Publishing and Media Group (PPMG), Pace University, and Nanjing Normal University, won the title of Advanced Confucius Institute 2014.

PPM displayed its Phoenix Chinese app during the conference. The app also won high appraisal from Hanban.

The annual conference is a grand gala of the Confucius institutes from around the globe. It aims to foster close cooperation and exchange by drawing on past experiences, and enhance the development of the Confucius Institute.
