Popular Science book wins prestigious award
The Pulse of Prehistory Life, a popular science book published by Phoenix Science Press, won the second prize in the 2014 Annual State Scientific and Technological Progress Award (SSTPA) competition.
This book was issued under Academician Zhou Zhiyan’s general editorship, as well as three other compilers, Feng Weimin, Xu Hankui and Fu Qiang.
The Pulse of Prehistory Life was compiled from the scientific achievements of the Institute of Geology and Paleontology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. It tells the story of the past 4 billion years of evolution.
SSTPA is one of the five State science and technology awards. This award is for individuals and organizations that make prominent contributions to science and technology.
