Spanish press visits Phoenix branch

A delegation from Spain's Safeliz Publishing House visited Yilin Press, a subsidiary of China's Phoenix Publishing and Media, and met with Gu Aibin, president of Yilin, on April 28.

Yuan Nan, vice editor-in-chief of Yilin, introduced the company's history and its translation of the literature of Spanish-speaking countries to the visiting delegation. The Safeliz guests said that they appreciated Yilin's contribution to spread of Spanish literature, especially its masterpieces such as Don Quixote, and praised Yilin for its contribution to cross-cultural communications and the spread of world literature.

Safeliz, headquartered in Madrid, dates back to 1903 and has published many well-known encyclopedias, children's science books, and books about diet and health. It has branches in Europe, Asia, the Americas, and Africa.

Yilin, part of the Phoenix Publishing & Media Inc., is one of China's most influential presses and, supported by its team of experienced translators and editors, concentrates on foreign literature and English language teaching.
