Phoenix delegation visits Israel
A delegation from the Phoenix Publishing and Media Group, headed by its chairman Chen Haiyan, went to Israel for a business trip from Sept 24 to 27.
The delegation had a meeting with Shalon Simhom, former agricultural minister of Israel. Chen briefed Simhom about the Phoenix group and expressed cooperation intent as well as his hope for support from the Israeli government for possible future investments.
In response to the group's willingness for cooperation in agriculture and real estate fields, Simhom recommended some leading Israeli companies for collaboration. The delegation also visited a local farm to see the development and application of modern agricultural technologies.
The Phoenix delegation also held discussions with local digital publishing and e-commerce companies and start-ups as well as an investment company for potential cooperation.
As a result of the visits and bilateral talks, the group has established that Israel is clustered with high-tech companies with sound industrial environment for innovation, and is an ideal place for multinational companies to set up R&D centers. The visit has provided the group with useful insights and information for its overseas expansion strategy.
