Phoenix expands printing business in Africa
Six officials from Zambia's Ministry of Education visited Phoenix Xinhua Printing Ltd. on April 7, after the company completed a 200,000-book print run of two core national textbooks for the African country.
The printing company, a subsidiary of Phoenix Publishing and Media Inc., is a cooperative partner of Zambian educational ministry.
Zhang Zaijian, general manager at Phoenix Xinhua Printing gave a brief introduction of the company and its parent as well as providing details about Phoenix Welwitschia Printing Ltd, a subsidiary of PPMG in Namibia. Africa.
The Zambian officials said they were impressed by the company’s printing prowess and were very satisfied with the textbook quality after visiting the company's production centers and inspecting the books.
Lazarous Mutale, Principal Curriculum Specialist of the ministry, added that both sides should enhance cooperation in textbook production and seek opportunities to co-build printing facilities in Zambia.
Both sides also exchanged ideas on expanding cooperation in book printing and the import and export of teaching materials.
Phoenix Xinhua Printing launched its international expansion plan in 2011. After five years of development, the company has set up business ties with clients from nearly 20 countries and regions and founded print works and companies in the UK, Australia and Namibia. It has achieved great standards in product quality, after-sale service and team management, which are paving the way for its overseas expansion during the 13th Five-year Plan (2016-20).
