Phoenix Publishing and Media Inc's new project, Phoenix Jiuli Book House, opened at a tourist resort in the city of Wanning, South China's Hainan province, on Jan 15.

Located in the picturesque Shimei Bay, the bookstore integrates tourism, real estate, and hotel services. The site offers guests a range of opportunities such as pleasant reading spaces and exhibition functions to attend.

Since Feb 2, the bookstore has attracted more than 6,100 customers and sold in excess of 70,000 yuan ($10,175) worth of books. The bestsellers during the Chinese Spring Festival were books for children, picture books, and books dedicated to arts, literature, and social science.
