Phoenix journals receive nationwide recommendation
Four journals released by Jiangsu-based publishing giant Phoenix Publishing and Media Inc, were recently among a list of outstanding journals recommended to children throughout China in 2016.
A total of 61 children's journals from around the country were recommended by the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television.
The four journals were Quanguo Youxiu Zuowenxuan (National Outstanding Composition Selections) by Phoenix Education Publishing, and Shaonian Wenyi (Juvenile Literature and Art), Qicai Yuwen (Colorful Chinese) and Dongfang Wawa (Oriental Babies) by Phoenix Juvenile and Children's Publishing.
Phoenix Education Publishing has two newspapers and four magazines. It achieved a total sales revenue of 67 million ($9.7 million) in 2016.
Phoenix Juvenile and Children's Publishing is a nationally prestigious children's publishing house with nine journals targeting young readers up to age 15. In 2016, the company reaped a total sales volume of 3 million and sales revenue that exceeded 150 million yuan.
