Phoenix Media explores Thai publishing market
A delegation from Phoenix Publishing and Media Inc (PPM) conducted a business trip to Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, from May 9 to 13.
The delegation included directors from six publishing houses under PPM. The representatives visited 12 publishing companies and copyright agencies for copyright trading.
The 12 publishers and agencies included Amarin Printing and Publishing Public Co, one of Thailand's largest publishing houses, Post Group, owner of Thailand's largest English daily newspaper Bangkok Post, Matichon Publishing Group, the publisher of Thai-language version Xi Jinping: The Governance of China, and the Golden Storm Agency.
During the visit, the delegation briefed the Thai publishers on PPM's background and development, its publishing concept, and its rights export achievements in Thailand. Furthermore, the six publishing houses introduced key copyright export programs and reached 33 copyright export agreements with the Thai publishers.
According to PPM,the visit has helped to improve understanding between Chinese and Thai publishers. The company hopes the visit will pave the way for future cooperation in copyright trading in Thailand, especially the copyright export of its children's audiobooks, films, and television programs.
