Phoenix Media attends Australia publisher exchange activity
The Visiting International Publishers (VIPs), an important program allowing international publishers and literary agents to exchange ideas and find business opportunities, was held in Sydney, Australia, from May 22 to 28.
Representatives from the Publishing Department of Phoenix Publishing and Media Inc's (PPM) and PPM's subsidiary Yilin Press took part in the event.
As an important event held during the Sydney Writers' Festival, the program also attracted world famous publishing giants including Penguin Books, Eccles Fisher Associates, Bertelsmann AG, and Random House.
At a publishing workshop, PPM briefed the participants about the development and trends of the Chinese publishing industry and introduced the company's strength and goals. It also conducted business discussions with more than 10 international publishing organizations and reached agreements for further cooperative engagements.
PPM's Australian branch also helped organize the event. The company has reached cooperation agreements with Australian publishers to import copyrights for children's books and books on creativity and arts for Chinese readers.
