The China Competitiveness series consists of six volumes — Bridges in China, Tunnels in China, High-speed Railways in China, Shield Tunneling in China, High-end Equipment in China and Innovators in China.

The series is written by Chen Kui, who is an expert at China Railway Group and a professor-level senior engineer at China Railway Tunnel Group. He enjoys a special subsidy issued by the State Council and has won the first prize at the State Science and Technology Advancement Awards.
