Buzhi Bookstore, a creative and entertaining reading space which has lured the hearts of Wuxi residents since 2016, impressed two senior figures during an official visit Sept 25 and 26. 

Fan Xi'an and Zhang Kangkang, members of the State Council, visited the store, the first of its kind in the city, which has formed partnerships with the Wuxi branch of Jiangsu Xinhua Distribution Group and the Landsea real estate company. 

The counselors were delighted at the vibrant reading atmosphere at the store and the Wuxi branch's commitment to promote reading among the public. 

They expressed their expectations that the Wuxi branch will take the lead in making reading a more enjoyable and enlightening activity across the city. 

Counselor Zhang is also a respected author of novels and prose works. Twenty-two years after her first visit to the city, she expressed confidence in the Wuxi branch upholding this public benefit undertaking and also called for support from the local government and society in general.
