Amazon China's list of the 25 most influential foreign literature translation works offered to Chinese readers [Photo/eastday.com]

Yilin Press and its three foreign literature translation works won awards at the annual reading event of Amazon China in Beijing Dec 21, 2018. 

A renowned branch publishing foreign literature of the Jiangsu-based publishing giant Phoenix Publishing and Media Inc (PPM), Yilin Press stood out for its dedication to bringing excellent foreign titles to Chinese readers. 

Nine other press houses, including Thinkingdom Media Group, CITIC Press Group and the Commercial Press, were also on the awards list. 

Three foreign novels published by Yilin – The Catcher in the Rye, Pride and Prejudice, and The Little Prince ­– were selected among the 25 most influential foreign literature translation works offered to Chinese readers. The honor, a tribute to the classics, was conceived by Amazon China in consideration of its printed and e-books sales. Some 16,000 online users also contributed to the ranking.
