Phoenix Publishing & Media Group (PPMG) organized a delegation to attend the 27th New Delhi World Book Fair held in New Delhi, capital of India, from Jan 3 to 10, 2019.

This is the first time PPMG has sent a team to the book fair. It has set up four booths to showcase more than 600 books involving literature, science, life, and traditional culture.

The team signed 17 agreements related to copyright export and 16 intention agreements during the event.

These agreements involve the English and Hindi versions of Flight of the Bumble Bees by Huang Beijia from Phoenix Juvenile and Children's Publishing, the Hindi version of Common Witness: Nanjing Massacre 1937 Photo Collection from Yilin Press, the English and Hindi versions of a series about endangered animals in China from Phoenix Science Press, and the English and Hindi versions of My Country and Its Name and a series about traditional Chinese culture from Jiangsu People's Publishing.

The team organized many activities, including promotions for Flight of the Bumble Bees and Uncle Qi Zhi Tells Stories, a book about traditional Chinese etiquette, and a ceremony to celebrate its book donations to the Chinese language and literature department of Jawaharlal Nehru University.

During the book fair, PPMG's team also visited publishing agencies in India and sought to expand cooperation with India-based GBD Books.

On Jan 7, all members of the working team were invited as special guests to the India-Sharjah Publishers CEO Forum.

Founded in 1972, the New Delhi World Book Fair has grown into the largest such event in India and one of the most important in Southeast Asia.
