Chinese youngsters share creative writing inspiration

The award ceremony for the creative writings of youth and teenagers from overseas and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan is held in Nanjing, Jiangsu province, July 26.

The award ceremony for the creative writings of youth and teenagers from overseas and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan was held in Nanjing, Jiangsu province, July 26. 

A total of 54 outstanding, 1,277 first prize and 2,252 second prize winners stood out among over 10,000 writings created by ethnic Chinese youngsters living in 46 countries and regions.

The winning stories have been compiled and published in books, opening a window for youngsters from home and abroad to share inspiring ideas and learn world culture. 

The periodical office of Colorful Chinese Language, one of the organizers, has been gearing up to promote classification in children's reading. It also focuses on language learning among overseas Chinese youngsters and has published a series of Chinese language books for international readers.
