71 Days in Wuhan published in English
(en.ppm.cn)
The English version of 71 Days in Wuhan: Diaries of A Photographer, a book recording the fight against COVID-19 in Wuhan, the city hit hardest by the epidemic in China earlier this year, was published on Sept 26 at the Beijing International Book Fair (BIBF).
Its e-book was also available on Amazon and Kindle that same day.
The book features more than 200 pictures taken by Gu Wei, chief photographer of daily paper Modern Express, during his 71-day stay in Wuhan to record the fight. The photography collection would show the world the great efforts made by China to combat the pandemic, and that BIBF would help the book reach a wider overseas audience.
Liliana Worth, the book's translator, Hu Yaqian, representative of the book's pulisher Xanadu Publishing, and journalists from U.K., U.S. and Pakistan also shared their opinions about the book online.
A collection of original photographs from Gu's "71 Days in Wuhan" is also showing at Phoenix Cloud 24h Bookstore in Nanjing from Sept 26.
