A facility, jointly built by publishing giant Phoenix Publishing & Media Group, also known as PPMG, and Nanjing University, recently received approval from the National Press and Publication Administration to be a national key lab.

With its focus on editing and publishing science, library and information science and journalism and communications, the lab is expected to develop into a leading press and publication think tank for the press and publications industry.

Its main research content includes the development of theories, intelligent writing system development and the formulation of industry standards for the application of cutting-edged technologies in the publishing industry, among others.

The lab is seen playing an active role in improving the service of the publishing industry and in promoting the industry's integrated development. Moreover, the lab is also expected to cultivate more competent professionals in the industry.

In recent years, PPMG has partnered with Nanjing University to carry out research and practice in intelligent publishing and knowledge services. These have yielded achievements in formulation of industry standards, the publishing of papers and monographs and the development of talented young professionals.
