Publishing giant Phoenix Publishing & Media Group, also known as PPMG, and Jiangsu Province Hospital established a center on May 24 to teach people about health.

Tang Jinhai, Party secretary of Jiangsu Province Hospital, said that Chinese people are thirsty for knowledge about health, but the content currently available is often of questionable quality.

He explained that how to effectively spread professional medical knowledge to ignorant people is a key problem to increase health awareness.

"Our hospital's cooperation with PPMG is expected to explore efficient ways to solve this problem," noted Tang, who added that in the future, both sides will work to help the public increase their medical knowledge and improve their ability to identify fact from fiction.

Zhao Lei, head of the Modern Express, said that the center will broadcast more original, authoritative, and professional medical knowledge, advocate healthy lifestyles, and promote the improvement of policies concerning public health services in a bid to boost the development of a healthy Jiangsu and a healthy China.

A mini program called "little health blue book" also launched that same day. Created by the Jiangsu Province Hospital and the Modern Express, the mini program highlights authoritative and detailed information.
