Phoenix Literature Prize winners unveiled

Lu Min (M) receives the Phoenix Literature Prize for her work Golden River.

Three writers won the first Phoenix Literature Prize at the awards ceremony held in Nanjing on Oct 22.

The annual literature awards launched by PPMG are given to original longform works of literature written in Chinese that have never been published as a book, including full-length novels, long biographies, and long proses.

The three winners this year were Lu Min, Luo Weizhang, and Ye Mi.

Luo Weizhang (M) receives the Phoenix Literature Prize for his work History of Privacy.

Golden River by Lu Min discusses the changes in the concept of wealth after China's opening up and reform in 1980s. Lu found that over the past 40 years, Chinese entrepreneurs developed the habit of repaying society by setting up funds and organizing numerous charitable activities.

History of Privacy by Luo Weizhang talks about the self-repair and self-identity of human nature, while Ageless by Ye Mi depicts the state of life and living conditions of average people under the background of China's opening-up and reforms in the 1980s.
