2nd series of 'Jiangsu Literature Translated' launched

Books in the second series of "Jiangsu Literature Translated".

The second series of "Jiangsu Literature Translated" was launched in Nanjing, East China's Jiangsu province, on Feb 18.

The series include Dinner for Six by Lu Min, Flight of the Bumblebee by Huang Beijia, Selected Stories by Xu Zechen, and Capriccio on the Way to Buy Salt by Han Dong. Six foreign editions will be published in English, Spanish, and Russian-speaking regions.

Bu Yu, director of the Information Office of the Jiangsu Provincial Government, said at the launch ceremony that the books will help overseas readers learn about Jiangsu and China after being translated by sinologists.

Sun Zhenfu, president of Phoenix Publishing and Media Group, noted that the company will strengthen cooperation with foreign authoritative research institutions, key universities and writers to promote Chinese literature to overseas readers.

Lu Min, on behalf of the four writers, thanked PPMG for its efforts in exporting copyright, saying that she used to read foreign literary works introduced by Yilin Press and that now the publishing house has introduced Chinese literary works to the world.

The "Jiangsu Literature Translated" project was initiated in 2021 and six foreign versions of the literary works by Ye Zhaoyan, Sutong, and Huang Beijia were published the same year.
