Phoenix Publishing and Media Inc was ranked first among 29 listed Chinese publishers in operating performance this year, according to professional newspaper China Publishing Today.

PPM's operating revenue, net profits, and cash flow had amounted to 7.18 billion ($983.59 million) yuan, 1.56 billion yuan and 1.58 billion yuan as of Aug 31.

Phoenix Science Press Ltd, Phoenix Education Publishing Ltd, Yilin Press Ltd, and Phoenix Juvenile and Children's Publishing Ltd came in fourth, fifth, seventh, and ninth in operating revenue among the subsidiaries of listed publishers, while Jiangsu People's Publishing House, Phoenix Fine Arts Publishing Ltd, and Phoenix Literature & Art Publishing Ltd ranked among the top 20 subsidiaries.

Yilin Press, Phoenix Science Press, and Phoenix Education Publishing secured the fifth, sixth, and eighth positions, respectively, in net profits while Phoenix Juvenile and Children's Publishing ranked among the top 20.
