Books written by Huang Beijia are on display at the Bologna Children's Book Fair.

An international publishing exchange meeting on Huang Beijia's books was held at the 61st Bologna Children's Book Fair on April 9.

Huang, a renowned Chinese children's writer, is popular for her exquisite and elegant writing style, and over 60 of her creations have been translated into French, English, German, and other languages.

Li Zhenqiang, president of Phoenix Publishing and Media Group (PPMG), said in his speech that Huang's books have been published by Phoenix Juvenile and Children's Publishing Ltd.

Huang's Sentimental Stories series is a major export for PPMG, and I Want to be Good, an installment in the series, has been published in 10 countries and regions, including France, the UK, and South Korea, Li added.

Tan Fengxia, Chinese children's literature critic and judge of Hans Christian Andersen Awards, spoke highly of Huang's publications via video, saying that her works are filled with her own thoughts on life and feature careful insights into her characters.

Huang said in her thank-you video that her international success is inseparable from the work of outstanding translators and publishers from around the world and that she hopes children in other countries will have more opportunities to read about China.
