History of New Literature in Jiangsu (70 volumes), a book on the historical evolution of new literature in East China's Jiangsu province, was unveiled to the public on June 19 in Beijing at the 30th Beijing International Book Fair.

Compiled by the Writers Association of Jiangsu Province and Contemporary Writers Research Center of Jiangsu Province, the book comprehensively and systematically charts the development of Jiangsu's new literature over the past century and showcases the province's pivotal role and outstanding contributions to Chinese literature. It was published by Phoenix Publishing and Media Group's Phoenix Literature & Art Publishing Ltd.

The editorial team, comprising 13 key editors, meticulously crafted an efficient editing and publishing schedule. They enlisted a team of expert reviewers, engaged top-tier designers for the book layout, selected premium printing companies, and successfully completed the editing, publishing and printing processes with high quality standards.

Spanning the 127-year period from 1892 to 2019, the first 30 volumes encompass 12 sections and include approximately 10 million words, leaving behind a valuable local literary history with academic, historical, and practical significance for the study of Jiangsu's century-old new literature. This project stands as a tribute from the literary community of Jiangsu to the new era, embodying a strong cultural consciousness and a sense of responsibility towards history and writers.
