Founded in 2014, Xanadu Publishing (Australia), a subsidiary of PPM International (Australia) Ltd., specifies in publishing, rights licensing business, marketing and distribution. Xanadu Publishing (Australia) is committed to becoming a bridge between China and Australia in culture, economy, and education.
PPM International (Australia) is Phoenix Media's third overseas branch after the UK and the US. Its mission is to promote cooperation between China and Australia regarding publication and cultural exchange. It has launched the Phoenix "Reading Republic" Chinese Book Fair in Melbourne, bringing excellent Chinese books to the Chinese community in Australia.
Phoenix Australia has also set up an online bookshop and started Chinese book distribution within Australia. Now, Australian Chinese could access up-to-date new titles the same as China book market.
Its titles, such as Symbols of Jiangsu series, The Night before Chinese New Year, 99 Teaspoons II, and Living Water: The Life Journey of Artist Ruby H. Wang, have contributed to the appreciation of Chinese culture. It has established close relationships with many professional publishers of academic institutions, such as the Publishing Department of the University of Melbourne, the China Research Center of the University of Sydney, and Thames & Hudson.
