Eight books published by Phoenix Publishing and Media Group, along with 17 others, were recently listed among the Most Beautiful Books in China in 2024.

In this edition, PPMG had the most number of listed books. Following tradition, winners of the Most Beautiful Books selection will participate in the "Best Book Design from All Over the World" competition at the Leipzig Book Fair in 2025.

The eight award-winning books from PPMG are Master: A Brief Biography of the Seven Masters of Purple Clay Art designed by Liu Tingting, The Tastes of Chinese Plants by Zhou Weiwei, Six Lectures on Western Architecture by Feng Zikai by KJ Design Studio, The Life of Zhouzhuang by Zhou Chen, The Wonderland of Artist's Books by Pan Yanrong, Voice of Orangutan by Gao Ya, A Collection of Designer Hong Wei by Qu Minmin and Jiang Qian, and Paintings by He Ming by Qing Menyin.

Sponsored by the Shanghai press and publication bureau and organized by the Shanghai Yangtze River Publishing and Exchange Fund, the "Most Beautiful Books" is an important book design selection event in China. Since its establishment in 2003, it has been held for 22 editions. Publishing institutions under PPMG have won awards every edition, with no fewer than three awards per edition in the last five years.
