A delegation from Phoenix Publishing & Media Group recently visited Malaysia, during which they inked copyright cooperation agreements when touring Pelangi Publishing Group and Popular Holdings.

The delegation visited Pelangi Publishing Group's bookstore, gaining insight into the group's publishing practices. Fu Juihsien, deputy editor-in-chief of Pelangi Publishing Group, discussed the group's development and showcased the sample books of Bronze and Sunflower, The Thatched House, and Trip of Fourteen-year-old Boys in Malay.

Established in the 1970s, Pelangi Publishing Group is currently the largest publisher and distributor of Chinese children's books in Malaysia, with influence across the entire Chinese market in Southeast Asia. Their textbooks and children's literature are indispensable to the growth of Malaysian children.

In May, Phoenix Juvenile and Children's Publishing, Yilin Press, Veritas & Mercurius Publishing and Phoenix Literature and Art Publishing signed copyright cooperation agreements with Malaysia's Pelangi Publishing Group and Malaysia's Asia Think Tank.

Phoenix Juvenile and Children's Publishing's six contracted works include both novels and comics, including The Thatched House, The Pomegranate Boat, Polar Shuttle, two in the "Beautiful Childhood" international children's novel series, and Bubu and Diandian series.

Yilin Press and Veritas & Mercurius Publishing brought six books in the "Symbol Jiangsu" series. Phoenix Literature and Art Publishing signed a contract with Asia Think Tank for the poetry collection Miracles by Han Dong.

Malaysian primary schools offer instruction in Malay, Chinese, and English, with the Chinese population exceeding 20 percent, totaling around 7 million people, indicating promising market prospects. China is among the top three exporters of books to Malaysia. This collaboration is expected to promote high-quality Chinese content and serve as a bridge for cultural exchanges between Chinese and Malaysian readers.
