A promotional event for the Dutch edition of Story of Bubu and Diandian series was held in Hasselt, Belgium, on Sept 16 by Phoenix Juvenile and Children's Publishing and Clavis Publishing.
Clavis Publishing's president, Philippe Werck, explained the Dutch edition's introduction, saying, "Children from every country share a universal innocence, and the humorous and joyful stories of Bubu and Diandian resonate with young readers in Belgium and the Netherlands. Children's books build bridges for seamless communication across different languages and cultures."
Zhou Jianjun, vice-president of Phoenix Publishing and Media Group, and Philippe Werck, Clavis Publishing's president, exchange gifts of Chinese and Dutch editions of the Story of Bubu and Diandian series.
As part of Clavis Publishing's 15 Minutes of Reading a Day initiative, 20 teachers from local Belgian primary schools shared innovative ways to incorporate this series into classroom teaching.
Phoenix Juvenile and Children's Publishing signed a contract with Digital Future Belgium for the French edition. The copyright of the Story of Bubu and Diandian series has been exported to seven countries, including Vietnam, Saudi Arabia, Italy, Belgium, Hungary, Malaysia, and France, with negotiations ongoing in others.
This classic children's book series, serialized for 14 years in Oriental Baby magazine, depicts the daily life of a sibling duo from a pure perspective. It helps children resonate with it and adults understand family education.
