The 16th Jiangsu Book Fair concluded at the Suzhou International Expo Center in Suzhou, Jiangsu province, on July 6.

The fair showcased over 600 publications in a 160-square-meter exhibition area. Notably, the first immersive virtual reality project themed around the Long March allowed visitors to experience historical moments.

The fair featured a diverse cultural platform where literary figures like Bi Feiyu, Mai Jia, and Ah Lai shared the stage with everyday heroes like market vendors and delivery riders.

Among the highlights was the poetry collection Holding a Beam of Light in the Human World by "delivery poet" Wang Jibing, which sold over 35,000 copies in a year.

The event also spotlighted intangible cultural heritage through popular online novels, with traditional crafts like Su embroidery and Biluochun tea gaining attention. Interactive activities like blind boxes and themed stamps attracted young visitors, making the fair a trendy outing.

Celebrating 70 years of China's space endeavors, the "My Chinese Space Lesson" AR/VR exhibit by Phoenix Science Press inspired children to dream of space exploration. Digital learning products took center stage, with AI-assisted tools and interactive experiences engaging young learners.

The fair dedicated more than half of its activities to children and families, featuring beloved authors such as Cao Wenxuan and Yang Hongying. Popular children's book IPs offered interactive experiences, transforming reading into an adventure.

The 17th Suzhou Employees' Reading Month was launched alongside other initiatives for professionals, promoting a city-wide reading culture.
