Rights promotion for Liu Cixin's The Fire Keeper

The Fire Keeper is the first science-fiction fairy tale by Hugo Award–winning author Liu Cixin, one of the leading voices in Chinese science fiction. Blending a spirit of scientific inquiry into a richly fantastical fairy-tale framework, it follows young Sasha as he travels to the easternmost island at the edge of the world to save his beloved. There he apprentices himself to an old fire keeper, learning to polish the stars and kindle the sun, until he must choose between love and duty and take on a deeply lonely calling. One of the warmest and most romantic works in Liu Cixin's oeuvre, it reveals the breadth of Chinese science fiction, while its exquisite illustrated format makes it a wonderful vehicle for reaching readers across cultures. Illustrator BUTU builds up layer upon layer of oil pastel and acrylic, and Yilin Press has faithfully reproduced the original long, horizontal format.

Fifth anniversary book exhibition of "Readings from Jiangsu, China"

At the 2026 Frankfurt Book Fair, Phoenix presents Readings from Jiangsu, China, an international translation and publishing program launched in 2021. Over the past five years, the program has introduced 30 foreign-language editions of works by Jiangsu-based writers and scholars to readers around the world. Rooted in Jiangsu's distinctive cultural landscape while reflecting the wider richness of Chinese culture, these titles offer international readers fresh perspectives on China's literary imagination and scholarly inquiry. The program comprises two collections: Jiangsu Literature Translated (Volumes 1-4, encompassing 24 titles) and Jiangsu Scholars Translated (Volumes 1-3, encompassing 6 titles).

Launch of the English edition of 59 Inventions That Shaped the World

This is an innovative-thinking primer for young readers by popular science writer Zhuo Ke. It grew out of a premium course with more than 400,000 learners. Starting from six major life scenarios—including family life, personal items, and information technology—it uses the invention histories of 59 everyday objects such as soap, batteries, and nonstick pans to break down inventors' thinking method of "find the problem → analyze the problem → solve the problem". The English edition has been licensed to Arctic Publishing.
